Marklife P12

Common problems and troubleshooting for the Marklife P12 label printer — connection, label feeding, self-test, blank labels and print alignment.

1. Printer cannot connect to the APP, or it shows that the printer is connected but not responding

  1. Check whether the printer is charging and not on, and whether Bluetooth is on.
  2. Restart the printer, re-connect to the APP and try to connect again.
  3. Please check the Bluetooth settings page of your phone system to see if the pairing is displayed. You need to cancel the pairing or ignore the device, switch off the printer and the APP, reboot after a while and connect directly in the APP.
  4. In the phone settings, check whether all of the APP's permissions are enabled, including the location permission.
  5. Make sure to leave a short section of label paper outside the printer; do not put it completely inside the machine.
  6. If the above methods fail to work, try to re-download the latest version of the APP and connect the printer again.

2. Why do I print just a few words, but the label paper keeps coming out

  1. There are two types of labels that apply to the P12 printer, gap and continuous labels. Depending on which one is used in the printer, you need to select the corresponding label type in the APP.
  2. When using gap labels with the P12 printer, pay attention to the size of the paper and choose a template with the same specifications.
  3. After the above have been set up properly, if the problem still exists, please disconnect and reconnect to print.

3. The printer makes an unusual noise when printing, and no label paper comes out

  1. Check whether the size of the label roll is too big and has resulted in a paper jam.
  2. Check whether there is any sticky glue on the print head. You can use a clean, smooth cloth with an alcohol wipe to clean the print head.
  3. If none of the above apply, the machine gear may be stuck with foreign material. Please contact customer service for help.

4. The printer cannot connect to my device

  1. Restart the printer, restart the APP, and connect again.
  2. If the printer has been connected before, cancel the pairing history in the Bluetooth connection in the APP, and search for pairing again.
  3. Please check whether the phone's Bluetooth is connecting to other devices.
  4. Check whether Bluetooth and the positioning system are turned on (allow the use of location permissions).
  5. Uninstall the app, download the latest version of the software and try again.

5. How to perform a printer self-test

First, press and hold the power button until the indicator light shows red. After the label paper is correctly inserted, the indicator light turns green. Press the button twice to observe the paper output.

6. It keeps shooting out blank labels after printing one. Why?

You have selected a gap label, so the label gap will be automatically fed after printing, resulting in a blank. Please go back to the home page, recreate the label, and select continuous label.

7. The label prints blank with no text

  1. Please check whether the label paper is installed upside down.
  2. Please check whether the label tape is a thermal material; if not, it cannot be printed.

8. The text I printed is not in the middle. What's wrong?

You can check whether your label paper size is correct. There is a specification selection option in "create label" — choose the correct label paper size.
